Holiday Tree Lighting
Holiday Tree lighting will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 6:45 pm. Caroling by the Suffern H.S. Select Choir will entertain you during the festivities. Mayor John Keegan will light the tree to welcome the season.
Santa Clause will arrive on Suffern's own Santa Express a big RED FIRE TRUCK....
PEARL HARBOR COMMEMORATION
On Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 the Village of Suffern commemorates the attack on Pearl Harbor at the Village Hall auditorium at 3:00 p.m.
SUFFERN PBA D.A.R.E. TOY DRIVE
The 18th annual holiday toy drive to benefit local children in need is being held thru December 20, 2008.
Please drop off a new, unwapped toy by Dec. 20, 2008 and make a needy child's holiday a brighter experience.

Open to students in grades 2 thru 12.

THE 2008-2009 D.A.R.E. DANCE SCHEDULE AT THE SUFFERN COMMUNITY CENTER IS OPEN TO ALL 5th AND 6TH GRADE STUDENTS. THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS LOCATED AT:

SOME REMINDERS:
If school is canceled the day of the dance due to weather,

PARENTS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED AND WELCOME TO HELP CHAPERONE
EACH DANCE.
All children must be picked up ON TIME AND INSIDE the
community center.
Parking is limited PLEASE car pool.

Suffern Railroad Museum
Opened in 1998, and located on Orange ave,at the corner of commuter parking lot A, the museum is housed in a 1908 Wells Fargo building, restored to showcase Suffern's rich railroad history.
The Railroad museum is open by appointment.

George J. Parness Suffern Community Center
The Suffern Community Center continues to host a variety of programs for the entire community. Programs are supervised by adults. The center is used by elementary, middle and high school students for open gym programs. Dances,basketball or social evenings are held on Fridays. Senior Citizens Clubs meet at the center during the day. Family Movie Nights are scheduled about once every month. For Center information,call the recreation office at 357-7943
